Ebb Carbon is an XPRIZE finalist! As one of 20 finalists announced today in the carbon removal space, we’re working toward the $50 million grand prize that will be awarded in 2025. This is a great recognition of the incredible progress we’ve made in a short period of time to advance our marine carbon dioxide removal system. To be named a finalist, we had to meet a number of key milestones, including displaying operational maturity towards removing 1,000 tons of CO2 this year, and a viable pathway to reaching megatonne scale in the coming years. Over the next year, judges from the XPRIZE Committee will conduct verification visits at operational sites of all of the finalists, including Ebb. We’re incredibly excited for this next step and to show the judges our technology in the real world.
