Eden Green’s two-acre farm in Cleburne grows romaine lettuce for Walmart using a hybrid vertical farming and greenhouse system that cuts energy usage to 4.59 kilowatt hours per pound of lettuce. With only 3% crop waste and lettuce reaching shelves within 48 hours, they aim to reduce food waste and improve sustainability. Eden Green plans to open 20 more facilities by 2028.
