Three years ago, the Elevance Health Foundation committed $90 million toward programs to improve maternal/child health, encourage food as medicine, reduce substance use disorder, and provide community resiliency/disaster relief. Today we are excited to share that goal has not only been met, but it has been exceeded!

Since July 2021, $97.3 million has been awarded in grants, reaching 108% of the initial goal. Through these grants and associate engagement programs, the Elevance Health Foundation has helped fund more than 12,000 nonprofit partners from across the country and impacted more than 43 million people. 

While we're celebrating this milestone, there's still work to be done. Looking ahead, the Elevance Health Foundation will continue to advance health equity through a new five-year commitment in January 2025, coinciding with the organization's 25th anniversary. Students at Indianapolis’ Irvington Prep Academy received their first-ever weight room and fitness space this week, givenby Elevance Health and Impact Fitness Foundation. Associates - along with Indiana Fever - volunteered their time to transform a room used for storage and laundry into a state-of-the-art training facility with new equipment and space for functional movement. This marks the third Indy high school to receive a new fitness space in celebration of the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off, a pre-season collegiate basketball tournament that takes place in November.
