Excited to announce the signature of a 12MW solar PV project with #vedantazincinternational's Black Mountain Mining operations in #southafrica's #notherncape. The plant, which will produce 29GWh energy and reduce #emissions by 25 tonnes per year, will be a first of several phases working together to support #decarbonisation of Vedanta's operations.

“We are excited to be Vedanta’s long-term partner for power on their decarbonisation journey, working together on the roadmap, phasing, and roll-out of renewables,” said Bart Haverkamp, Enernet’s Managing Director, Africa.

Enernet has signed a power purchase agreement with Zimmer Biomet in #puertorico to provide over 11GWh of electricity annually, along with hot water and cold water, to decarbonise the core process of this leading global medical technology company.

This will lead to CO2 #emissionsreduction of 1,437 metric tonnes per year compared to the utility.

"We look forward to delivering Enernet Global's third energy project in Puerto Rico and commend Zimmer Biomet for their commitment to world class environmental stewardship," said Paul Matthews, Enernet's CEO.

Astrid holds a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Delft, University of Technology, in the Netherlands and has over 15 years of experience in the Energy sector, moving her career into the renewable energy field 6 years ago.
 
Having worked in various parts of the world, Astrid brings extensive experience and a diverse background in all phases of project development, with a strong focus on project delivery in complex environments.
 
"I am looking forward to contributing to the delivery of renewable energy projects in the Africa region" she said.

When not at work, Astrid be found outside hiking, biking or spending time in the garden.
