Every year, EnPower takes time to celebrate summer with our dedicated staff by hosting a summer picnic. This year, we also used the time to recognize the contributions of two excellent interns who spent their summer break with us. Cole Hobby and Henry Greenwood both came to us from Purdue University, and we asked them to reflect on their experience. Cole said of his experience, “This summer I had the opportunity to work at EnPower as an Electrode Engineering Intern. I became familiar with the bench scale process and focused on comparing electrodes made there with ones made at the pilot line. I also investigated different electrode formulations, ultimately finding an effective one and suggesting it for future research. I am thankful to the EnPower team for this amazing experience!” Henry added, “During my time as a mechanical engineering intern, I gained valuable hands-on experience with the lithium-ion cell assembly process. I designed custom fixtures and altered existing machines to enhance the standardization of the R&D cell manufacturing line. It was an incredible learning experience and I'm grateful for the chance to have been part of the EnPower team." We enjoyed having Cole and Henry as part of our team and wish them our best as they start a new year at Purdue!
