SUSTAINABLE EYEWEAR FROM SWEDISH LAPLAND | EOE was born on a bright and snowy spring day in 2010, during a snowmobile ride in the small village of Ammarnäs in Swedish Lapland. The crisp air and the scenery over the snow covered mountains gave Erik and Emilia Lindmark an idea; to create a collection of eyewear that combined the elegance and simplicity of Scandinavian design with the barren beauty of the nature in Swedish Lapland. The heritage from the Swedish north is reflected both in the names and colors of the eyewear, not least in the details and materials brought from the wild and beautiful nature.

This week, we celebrated a successful year and the arrival of our Fall/Winter Collection by making Ulriksdals Slottsträdgård a part of the EOE Eyewear Universe for two nights, one for our creative community, and one to give back to our opticians. Fantastic Felicia Monteverde Holmgren was there as a representative from our partners Sverige för UNHCR and held inspiring talks, and guests were encouraged to share inspiration and conversations over a three course meal focused on local and ecological ingredients. For our opticians, a special treat in the shape of a small concert by the EOE Key Account Manager and former professional musician Oliver Knutsson came as a pleasant end to the evening. Thank you Linsen, Benckert Optik , Contacta Eyewear , SÖDER OPTIK AB , Värmdö Ögon, Norrviken Optik , and Synsam Sverige Mariatorget!

Portraying the roots of the brand, the models are seen wearing the F/W 24 Antler Collection deep in the hills of the Swedish mountains. Our CEO and co-founder Emilia Lindmark was recently invited to attend an entrepreneur trip to Norrbotten and Västerbotten, organized by Prins Daniels Fellowship and H.R.H Prins Daniel in collaboration with Kungl. Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademien, IVA s Business Council. The trip featured visits to innovative companies such as Stegra , Kaunis Iron , Green Flight Academy , Boliden and Northvolt and highlighted the transition towards green tech and sustainable practices in our country. The trip was a motivating experience that highlighted Sweden’s progressive attitude toward sustainability and innovation, especially in the northern regions. At EOE Eyewear we continue to strive towards sustainability practices in all that we do, with clean materials throughout, and circularity using Regrind .
