The global electric propulsion satellite market, as reported by Mordor Intelligence, is an exciting sector expected to grow at a CAGR of 11.27% to $48.93 billion by 2024 and $83.44 billion by 2029. However, due to the over-reliance on fuel, this market is mired with significant limitations.

A team of six aerospace engineers recognized these limitations and developed a system that allows satellites to operate in Very Low Earth Orbits (VLEO) without needing traditional fuel.

VLEO satellites also offer imaging resolution up to 16 times better than satellites in higher orbits. This could prove to be a significant boon for Earth observation and telecommunications.

We also cannot afford to discount the environmental benefits of this revolutionary propulsion technology. The Atmosphere-Breathing Electric Propulsion (ABEP) technology not only minimizes greenhouse gas emissions during launches but also mitigates space debris issues.
