Good to see the MV Hagland Premier ready for service! This hybrid 4860 dwat cargo vessel has a battery system from EST-Floattech | Energy Storage Solutions. The battery system is one of the elements that contributes to the expected 40% reduction of CO2 emissions from these Hagland cargo ships. This delivery marks the third from Royal Bodewes for Hagland with a battery system on board. The projects shows that large-scale battery systems can even be used for #cargo vessels to help reduce emissions in the maritime industry.

To share knowledge about batteries as an alternative energy source, we have been taking part in several #Consortium projects. One of those projects is Green Transport Delta-Electrification (#GTD-E), organized by Brainport Development.

We have provided VDL Nedcar with an #OctopusSeries battery module, for which they created an automated line capable of partially assembling the battery. The learnings from this showed us where we could improve our design, efficiency, and sustainability. 
 
Our team got the opportunity to visit the production hall and automated line at VDL. While we implemented improvements in our own production facilities to meet the growing demand for the new Octopus Series battery system. Now we produce more efficiently and can deliver in an even shorter time. The production of the Octopus Series is in full swing!
