Let the tyres, see the tarmac! Earlier this month, Paddy McGuinness paid a visit to our Stockport store to gear up for an incredible challenge. His Ultra Endurance charity ride. He’s cycling an epic 300 miles across the UK on a specially customised Chopper bike, all in support of Children in Need. …and what a ride it's been. The support he's received has been nothing short of incredible. A great guy and an unbelievable endeavour for some very worthy causes. Last month we sent our Retail Technical Trainer Adam Jeffrey to Brussel, to represent the UK in the European Shimano Service Centre Championship. This championship underscores the value of skilled bike mechanics in a changing world. With cities worldwide embracing cycling as a solution to climate change, air pollution, and congestion, the demand for expert mechanics is only set to rise. Shimano leads the way, training the next generation through its global network of Shimano Service Centres, providing top-notch servicing, advice, and support. Fantastic work Adam, earning a place in the competition following your excellent podium finish at the UK Championship. We are proud Shimano partners and thrilled to be part of an incredible experience!

Our 18-month apprenticeship program is in full swing. A fully immersive, hands-on experience that leads to the prestigious Cytech Technical Level 3 qualification. At the Cytech workshop in Stafford, seven scholars of our second cohort are currently deep into their two-week Cytech Level 2. We are committed to building the skills of our teams and broadening their expertise. This accredited apprenticeship helps elevate the quality of service we are able to deliver to our customers whilst also empowering individuals to transform their passion into a fulfilling career and driving excellence in the industry!
