Fairmount Properties, a leading national developer based in Northeast Ohio, is proud to promote one of the industry’s leading real estate and legal professionals, Rebecca Molyneaux, to Executive Vice President and General Counsel. 
 
Molyneaux is a real estate executive with over 15 years of experience both as a developer and corporate/real estate counsel. Molyneaux began her real estate career as outside legal counsel to real estate firms and corporations. She then worked in-house as legal counsel for a developer of retail, mixed-use and multi-family projects with an additional focus on financing. That work included overseeing specific properties from development to operations. For the seven years prior to joining Fairmount, Molyneaux was the lead developer for Class A retail, mixed-use, multi-family and student housing developments, including the $90M Beacon project, the first high rise in Cleveland’s Central Business District in more than 30 years. Molyneaux is skilled at closing complex real estate transactions and overseeing complicated projects from concept to completion.
 
Starting in 2020 as Vice President and General Counsel, Molyneaux is responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of Fairmount Properties, including new development and existing assets within the company’s portfolio. In her new role, Molyneaux joins Fairmount’s Executive Team, where she will also play a leadership role in implementing Fairmount Properties mission and strategic goals.

A native of Shaker Heights, Molyneaux is a graduate of Syracuse University and Syracuse University College of Law. Molyneaux has been active in both the Cleveland Heights and Orange School Systems, as well as a large supporter of both St. Baldrick’s and The Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Fairmount Properties, a leading developer based in Northeast Ohio, is proud to welcome one of the industry’s leading real estate and finance professionals, Kevin Kessinger, as Executive Vice President. Mr. Kessinger will play a leadership role in fulfilling Fairmount’s robust development pipeline, with a particular emphasis on joint venture and capital market strategies and accessing equity markets aligned with the company’s growing “eds, meds, and innovation” platform.
 
For the past 20 years, Mr. Kessinger has served in highly strategic, influential roles at globally recognized, best-in-class organizations and held many senior and executive leadership positions. Mr. Kessinger was Senior Vice President of Funds Management at DDR Corp. (now SITE Centers), prior to joining ShopCore Properties (a Blackstone portfolio company) in 2015 as Executive Vice President. At ShopCore, he led the organization through multiple transitions, while overseeing all transactions, asset management, property management, legal, marketing, and sustainability functions. As a member of the company’s Executive Committee, he was directly accountable for the financial performance of the portfolio.

Active in the community, Mr. Kessinger was a co-founder, and later served as a board member, for CoreGiving, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to eliminating child hunger by providing nourishing meals to children and families, through partnerships with food banks and other hunger-relief organizations across the U.S. Mr. Kessinger’s work established and advanced strategies to expand the impact and reach of the charity, and in just its fifth year since inception, CoreGiving last year alone supported 67 hunger-relief organizations in 22 U.S. states and territories, both financially and through thousands of hours volunteered.

Ball State University Board of Trustees has unanimously selected Fairmount Properties to advance a comprehensive revitalization plan for The Village, a several block district adjacent to its main campus and Ball Memorial Hospital. Fairmount Properties is honored to have been selected from a national search to develop this $100 million mixed-use development that will include Ball States new Performing Arts center, a hotel, a Barnes & Noble, Inc. bookstore and retail, restaurant, innovation, and residential space.

"For the Fairmount Properties holiday party this year, we rented out Silverspot Cinema at Pinecrest to share the We Are Marshall story with several of our Fairmount colleagues. We enjoyed dinner beforehand, followed by the movie and additional discussion thereafter. There was, of course, a wide range of emotions but the incredible inspiration felt by all for how this team, school and community endured and rose up will be indelibly inked within our hearts. We didn’t think it possible to be more honored to be a part of Huntington and Marshall University community but, we are. We Are!!
