FBN was founded 9 years ago with the mission of empowering family farmers and improving their livelihoods as rural entrepreneurs. We’re excited to announce FBN’s Board has voted unanimously to appoint Diego Casanello as CEO of FBN.  

Diego brings 30 years of experience growing and leading agribusinesses around the world and serving farmers. He previously served as CEO of Arysta Life Science Inc., a global provider of crop protection and life science products, as COO of UPL Ltd., an international agrochemical company, and spent more than twenty years with BASF, where he ran business units across four continents. He was most recently the managing partner and CEO of Vidavo Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in rural prosperity.

FBN has grown from a digital analytics network to a full commercial platform spanning over 75,000 farmer members, supporting them in nearly all aspects of their operations including financing, sustainability and marketing, crop and livestock inputs, and more. Since our inception, our Farmers First mission has united us. We look forward to Diego’s leadership and are excited to bring his passion and skills to our next chapter serving farmers.
