The team came together for the second year to spot and record as many bird species as possible over 24 hours for Global Big Day. Sightings support research into global bird populations and changes to bird migration.

The team enjoyed observing the various bird species at the mine and its surrounding area.

Look at the succulent blueberries the team from our Cayeli Mine in Turkey recently gathered! 

These marvellous fruits, called "likapa" in Turkey, have thrived thanks to the agricultural project the team initiated back in 2021. 

The project involves planting blueberry saplings to enhance biodiversity and promote a thriving, resilient ecosystem.

The team at our Kansanshi mine in Zambia recently came together for World Mental Health Day.

This year’s theme, ‘mental health is a universal human right’, was celebrated with stalls around the mine, which offered insights into mental health practices and the range of services available to all employees.  

Thank you to the health and wellness team for running the day. It was fantastic connecting with our colleagues and supporting one another!

Happy Independence Day Zambia! 

The local Zambian community and the team from our Trident operation had a fantastic day celebrating. 

The team organised a soccer tournament at Jiwundu Secondary School, which brought together 26 schools from the area. 

They also launched a tree-planting initiative in partnership with the District Education Board Secretary (DEBS) to increase the green open space in our local schools.

It was lovely to bring the community together for such a significant occasion. 

Congratulations to Johann and Joel from Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation and Sean from our Perth office for raising over $23,000AUD on the 200km MACA Cancer 200 ride.

Starting at Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia and pedalling all the way to Mandurah, this two-day journey was no small feat, but the team did it with determination! 

Every kilometre they rode helped raise vital funds for cancer research in Western Australia.

What an amazing result, well done team!

The team from our Kansanshi mine in Zambia recently had a fantastic day of team building! 

Everyone participated in team-building activities as part of an annual competition promoting the importance of working together, under sometimes challenging circumstances.

The day was filled with laughter, high fives and friendly rivalry – we hope everyone enjoyed the day!
