Building Success: Bringing Brisbane’s most central food & retail hub to life! ATG are delighted to announce that we have recently achieved practical completion at Brisbane’s Post Office Square . Some of the upgrades during this project include the following; - Tenancy Repositioning: Reconfiguring spaces to better serve new tenant needs and market demands. - Food and Beverage Facilities: A refreshed food and beverage area at the Queen Street end of the precinct opens at 6am every morning, offering a wide variety of dining options. - Retail Space: Exciting new retail opportunities are now available at the Adelaide Street end of the Square. - New Lift Installation: Installing a new lift at the Adelaide Street end to improve accessibility and convenience for customers. - Structural Enhancements: New structural elements, including the pictured curved steel truss on Adelaide Street, adding both functionality and aesthetic appeal. - Live Environment Work: Upgrades to the main switchboard (MSSB), installation of new fans, and other essential maintenance, all while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. - Electrical & Mechanical Works: End of life switchboard and mechanical plant replacement throughout the building. One of the highlights of the project for team member, Luke Antill (pictured) was getting the opportunity to build strong relationships with both the construction and client teams. Working closely together throughout the project, positive communication and collaboration ensured that the completion of the work at Post Office Square was smooth and efficient, with the retail hub now ready to be enjoyed by Brisbane’s public! 2024 BRISBANE CORPORATE TENS | Our Queensland team recently strapped on their rugby boots for the third season of the Brisbane Corporate Tens Rugby, competing at Wests Bulldog Rugby Union Club. Now in its 17th year, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry peers, share some laughs, and most importantly raise funds for Youngcare - a not-for-profit organisation whose purpose is to improve the lives of young Australians living with physical disabilities. Another Project Underway: Peninsular Private Hospital in Redcliffe. We’re making significant progress on the Peninsular Private Hospital project in collaboration with Buildcorp . Our team has been hard at work on the structural steel framework, and we’re excited to share some progress photos. Recently, we also completed our ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 recertification audit, and the Peninsular Private Hospital served as a live site to ensure our processes adhere with the relevant standards, policies, and procedures. In line with our commitment to continuous improvement, we have implemented a new quality and safety software accessible via tablets, mobile devices, and desktops. This solution provides a centralized and controlled access point for all our documentation, enhancing our processes and improving communication both with our clients and among our staff. Project Preview: NLA Extension & Terrace Upgrade at 488 Queen Street. ATG have recently been appointed as the principal contractor in the delivery of a complex extension to the existing NLA and Terrace refurbishment at 488 Queen Street, Brisbane CBD. The project includes the initial demolition and extension of the façade to partial, unusable terraced areas on Level 3, to expand the NLA, and, ultimately the value of our client’s asset. The Myers Ellyett design focusses on creating volume and natural light through high-end architectural skylights and links the internal premises to the external environment via a new full-height glass façade, bi-folding glass doors and, mechanical retractable awnings on a new landscaped terrace taking advantage of the River & Story Bridge views. The project will also include a cold shell make good to all floors and a continuation of ATG Projects’ base build amenities upgrade program to the bathrooms, ready for a global accounting tenant that our client has pre-committed.
