At FirstMile Ventures, we're getting asked all the time how we are thinking about and investing in generative AI, so we assembled a great group of investors and entrepreneurs to talk about this over breakfast recently.  I captured the key points of that discussion in a post.

The TLDR was:
   -Most people, including us, believe that AI is going to have a meaningful impact across their personal and work lives.
   -Much like the PC in the 80's or Internet in the 90's, we believe that generative AI is going to power a wave of innovation.
   -Despite how powerful the AI platforms have become in a short period of time, it still takes work and expertise to get customer-ready work product out of them.  Michael Vaughan and Joel J. joined us to talk about how they are leveraging multiple AI platforms at The Regis Company.
   -We look at investing AI-related companies in three broad buckets:  platforms, tooling and applications.
