I attended last week's American Chamber of Commerce in Canada (AmCham Canada) 's annual Thanksgiving celebration, where Porter Airlines Inc. received the Social Impact Award. Our growth into many new US markets over the last two years is based largely on the strong economic and social ties between our two countries. We have partnered with Hope Air for more than a decade to make the challenge of travelling long distances for essential medical care that little bit easier for thousands of people. More than 200 people and 17 teams from across Ontario stepped up to pull a Porter Dash 8-400 over 100 metres to help raise money and awareness for an important cause. #TeamPorter came in at a very respectable 5th place, with a time of just over 1:03! 💪
