Zerolend is a P2P lending marketplace on #zkSync. The project aims to create a user-friendly and frictionless lending experience to onboard the masses to DeFi. Their platform supports RWAs (real-world assets), and offers a privacy layer using zk proofs. 

But the best part? They already have over 300k users out of which 100k+ are active ones on a daily basis. Traction!

Exverse is a free-to-play FPS shooter where players will take part in PVP, Raids & and more. Exverse is building at the intersection of 3 bullish verticals within the digital asset & gaming industry: GameFi & NFT, metaverse and the gaming industry itself.

Exverse is incubated by Seedify and KuCoin Labs. They had 50k+ alpha sign ups and successfully raised $2M+.

Octavia is the definitive #AI Crypto and Web3 assistant. It makes managing web3 communities, as well as researching and investing in crypto easier than ever. 

It provides advanced support for #crypto and web3 users, makes managing web3 Discord, Telegram, and investing in crypto simple. Octavia also unites both in-house and external models, blockchain, internet access, data, and APIs.

This team grew to 300k users and $2.6B in traded volume with $0 in VC funding! You have to admit that it's amazing.

A few key mistakes are often made by #web3 projects when they begin their fundraising process. 

Here's our VC's top 3. 👇

1️⃣ Not being able to back their valuation with arguments.

Sometimes the Founderheads, team meets projects that put in front of you an unreasonable valuation. Unreasonable because in many such cases, there are little to no arguments why such calculations should make sense. 

If during fundraising you have a pitch deck at most, but no demo, no traction, no partnerships, consider reviewing your numbers. 🧮

2️⃣ Having an answer for everything. Even when they clearly don't.

This one is quite understandable - doing a pitch for a #VC is considered a test where you should come prepared. But it's absolutely alright to admit that you don't have an answer to question A. 

Instead of trying your hardest to fill in the answer gap, tell the VC that you currently do not possess such info but would gladly come back with it after you check in with the team. Accuracy is better than just words. 💯 

3️⃣ Pitch deck doesn't show much effort.

There is a thin line between too simple and overcrowded. But it's always a better option to have a deck that represents your brand, that allows you to clearly grasp the effort made.

Why is it important? A deck is something you send to a VC before any pitching calls. It's the best and only opportunity to spark interest in the solution that you need funding for. Make sure it's a memorable one - visually and info-wise. 🚀

Our team had the pleasure to participate in this year's #Web3 Summit Vilnius, brilliantly organized by Crypto Economy Organisation and SUPER HOW?. 👏

During a fireside chat, Sarunas and Monika shared their insights on bear market strategies when it comes to VC attraction and marketing execution. 

In summary:
📍 Stay realistic, do your homework and show effort in whatever you do as a #startup - deck, the pitch itself, your social communications and more;
📍 Avoid marketing shortcuts. Having 1k project believers will always top 25k followers that came for giveaway rewards;
📍 Having a strong product, but no efficient marketing is the same as having a Lambo in your garage, but no gas to take it into the streets. Be smart about your expenses.
