Philip was a combat marine in the Iraq War and Jenny was a 9/11 first responder at the Pentagon

Motivated by the impact cannabis has had on their lives, Phil and Jenny aspired to start a company that could help others who suffer from PTSD.

Myself and fellow CSEAB Board members recently became aware of the Tier 4 matching requirement in the new social equity grant application program that was released by EOED yesterday. As you can imagine we are disappointed in the EOED's decision to include this requirement considering it was never discussed or recommended by the Cannabis Social Equity Advisory Board during any of our public or closed session meetings. The CSEAB believes that this requirement defeats the intent of supporting social equity operations across the Commonwealth. We are actively engaging with the EOED on this matter. Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of partnering with Treehouse Cannabis and Freshly Baked Company in support of Patriots Helping Vets ! I always talk about how lucky I am to work in the cannabis industry, but it’s days like this that makes it worth it. The turnout was amazing, but my favorite moment was watching Tom Rand see his continued, unwavering hard work come to life. I’ve had the pleasure of watching PHV over the years and cheer them on, but being part of it is completely different. Collectively we donated grow equipment, seeds and clones to a number of veterans.
