Since 1747, the FÜRSTENBERG porcelain manufactory has produced porcelain that also always reflects the time in which it is created: the spirit, the attitude to life and the aesthetics, as well as the manual and technical possibilities. Despite state-of-the-art production equipment, the majority of porcelain making e.g. the new LINDA vases, is still done by hand. The FÜRSTENBERG trademark - a crowned blue F - is stamped onto the underside of all vases after first firing. This is followed by glazing, where the vases are dipped in liquid glaze. If the glaze is sand-blasted following glost firing, this gives rise to a fine matt satin finish. Developing a porcelain cylinder with completely straight inner sides represented one of the major challenges for the porcelain manufacturer’s modellers. The celebrated French press coffee can only be achieved if the coffee filter can be pushed downwards in a straight line and flush on all edges.
