It provides business financing to small and medium-sized enterprises, which is funded by individual and institutional investors. In 8 years, it has helped finance over 5 million business loans with over S$4.7 billion in funding.

Founded in 2015 in Singapore, Funding Societies | Modalku is the most well-funded digital lending platform in Southeast Asia, with a USD 25 million Series B funding round led by SoftBank Ventures Asia, the early-stage venture capital arm of Japanese investment giant Softbank Group, and supported by Sequoia India, Alpha JWC Ventures and Golden Gate Ventures.

Funding Societies secured a strategic investment from Khazanah Nasional Berhad and CGC Digital (the digital arm of Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad CGC Malaysia) in Malaysia.

This significant investment aims to broaden financing access to unserved and underserved businesses, further extending our reach across Malaysia and the region to propel the growth of MSMEs.

This is a testament to our commitment towards extending credit to reach more underserved MSMEs.
