A short documentary film presented by architecture critic Gokhan Karakus of the architecture of the Esma Sultan Yalisi located in Ortaköy, Istanbul by GAD Architecture led by architect Gokhan Avcioglu. The film and the architecture of this project addresses the continuity of Istanbul’s historic urban fabric on the Bosphorus withcontemporary city life. One & Ortakoy, Istanbul | GAD Documentary Films A short documentary film on the architecture of the One and Ortakoy, Ortakoy, Istanbul, Turkey by GAD Architecture led by Gokhan Avcioglu presented by architecture critic Gokhan Karakus. The film looks at the design of this residential complex completed in 2008 in Istanbul’s Bosphorus district visually presenting this organic design in stone and natural elements that gives the architecture its distinctive appearance as “organic architecture for Istanbul”. Karakus critically notes the continuity between nature and architecture in this urban oasis balanced harmoniously by GAD's architecture to provide residents a direct connection to nature based on biophilic principles. The film's photography emphasizes the ambient atmospheric and environmental setting of the Bosphorus strait district of Ortakoy that is the subject of this documentary film on GAD architectural projects in Istanbul.
