Regardless of the nomenclature, companies aren't taking a step back from their emissions reduction goals. “Companies are now waking up to the investment opportunity of the energy transition, in other words the 'E' in ESG. By rewarding efforts to meet net zero pledges, executives are seeing synergies with their total shareholder return and profitability goals – they can go hand in hand,” notes Galvanize Global Equites CIO Seth Kirkham.
