The company also explores for and sells lithium ores; and provides lithium battery recycling solutions. In addition, the company exports lithium products. Its products are used in the manufacture of electric vehicles, portable electronics, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, as well as used by battery cathode materials manufacturers, battery suppliers, and automobile original equipment manufacturers. Students from San Antonio de los Cobres in Salta, Argentina, have started their professional internships at one of Ganfeng's mining projects, "Mariana". These students, who were selected following a gradual interview process, are paving the way for future young talents from the Puna communities.

This valuable experience is made possible through a formal agreement with Technical School No. 3173 from San Antonio de los Cobres, which allows fourth-year Chemistry students to engage in internships within a professional and safe work environment. The company equips them with the necessary tools to carry out their tasks and provides them with training and continuous guidance from seasoned professionals within their appropriate fields.

These professional internships align with Ganfeng's global commitment to educational development. Ganfeng firmly believes in the potential of new generations and is dedicated to nurturing the skills of budding professionals. Ganfeng recently organized a voluntary waste collection event that spanned the entire area between the "Alta Montaña" Instruction Center and the "Las Nubes" Train Station in San Antonio de Los Cobres, Salta, Argentina.

The HSE Department has been proactively promoting activities that support communities near our projects and those en route to them. As part of these efforts, the Environmental Department started a cleanup campaign to collect scattered waste along the roadsides of San Antonio. What made this initiative particularly valuable was the involvement of city office personnel. For many of our staff, who primarily work in the city, this was a unique opportunity to both contribute to environmental management and explore a region they might not have had the chance to visit otherwise due to their desk-bound roles.
In just 2 hours, volunteers managed to fill nearly 10 large bags with waste, which were subsequently sorted and transported to Salta City for future treatment and recycling.

This marks our first volunteering initiative in an area of indirect influence on our projects. Looking ahead, Ganfeng will extend invitations to other institutions and the general public to join us.

Recently, Ganfeng LiEnergy’s distributed solar photovoltaic project has been officially launched. With a capacity of 3.4 MW, it will power Ganfeng LiEnergy’s production operations. The project is expected to generate around 3,522 MWh of electricity each year, resulting in a reduction of approximately 2,520 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Ganfeng LiEnergy integrates green and low-carbon principles throughout its entire lithium battery production chain, aiming to contribute to global sustainable development with safer, longer-range, and more environmentally friendly lithium battery products.

Ganfeng is delighted to announce that the Caucharí-Olaroz Project in Jujuy, Argentina, has produced its first batch of lithium carbonate products. This milestone marks Ganfeng’s first operational project in Argentina and holds significant importance for optimizing resource allocation and strengthening our global presence.

Caucharí-Olaroz holds a mineral resource estimate of 24.58Mt LCE, making it one of the world’s largest lithium brine projects. With a planned Stage 1 capacity of 40,000 tons of LCE and a commitment to Stage 2 of no less than 20,000 tons of LCE, we are excited about the immense potential this project holds for Ganfeng.
