📢 General Dynamics European Land Systems and ESCRIBANO MECHANICAL & ENGINEERING seal a collaboration agreement to jointly develop opportunities in the #defense sector. The signing, within the framework of Eurosatory, took place in front of an #ASCOD IFV armored vehicle equipped with a #GUARDIAN 30 remote weapon system, representing the spirit of cooperation and ambition of both companies to strengthen European defense capabilities.

#GDELS and #ESCRIBANO will explore and promote multiple areas of collaboration, taking advantage of their innovative product portfolios. This includes #GDELS' family of armored vehicles, such as #ASCOD,  #PANDUR, and  #PIRANHA, as well as the advanced weapons stations of #ESCRIBANO, #GUARDIAN30, and #GUARDIAN 2.0.

The president of General Dynamics European Land Systems, Antonio Bueno, highlights the leadership position, compatibility of #capabilities and #experience of the two companies, which contributes to "explore closer cooperation in future defense projects and, will also contribute to strengthened European defense capabilities and to securing European supply chains".

The Spanish Army marks a milestone by deploying, for the first time, the #VCZAP "Castor" Combat Engineering Vehicle in international operations after the recent delivery by GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas. 
 
The international debut will take place at the Combat Training Center in Drawsko Pomorskie (Poland) held on the occasion of the multinational exercise #EURETEX2024 organized by the HQ Eurocorps on a biannual basis.
 
The group sent to Poland includes two units of the #VCZAP #Castor, of the #Pizarro / #ASCOD family, vehicle belonging to the XII Engineering Combat Battalion of the “Guadarrama” Brigade, one of the first units of the Spanish Armed Forces to have received this innovative and advanced system for the vanguard military units of engineers and sappers.

El Ejército de Tierra Español marca un hito al desplegar, por primera vez, el #VCZAP #Castor (Vehículo de Combate de Zapadores) en maniobras internacionales, cuyas primeras unidades fueron recientemente entregadas por parte de GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas.

Este debut internacional tendrá lugar en el Centro de Entrenamiento de Combate en Drawsko Pomorskie (Polonia) con motivo del ejercicio multinacional #EURETEX2024, organizado por HQ Eurocorps de manera bianual.

GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas has reactivated the manufacture of large-caliber gun barrels at the Trubia Factory (Asturias) in order to respond to the current demand for modern and efficient #artillery, adapted to the changing needs of the battlefield.
 
GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas has manufactured more than 200 120mm gun barrels for #Leopard 2E main battle tanks, more than one thousand for the #SIAC 155/52 howitzer and dozens of barrels for the 105 Light Gun, models #L118 and #L119, to provide service to the Spanish Army underlining the company’s dedication to both national and international #defense. 
 
“Operational experience from ongoing military confrontation demonstrate the renewed relevance of artillery as well as main battle tanks. #GDELS-SBS is one of the few European companies that has preserved the knowledge and capabilities to manufacture gun barrels of the most demanded calibers for both weapon systems,” said Juan A. Escriña Aldeanueva, General Director of GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas.

GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas ha fabricado hasta ahora más de 200 cañones de 120mm para carros de combate #Leopard 2E, más de un centenar para su obús #SIAC 155/52 y decenas de cañones para el 105 Light Gun, modelos L118 y L119, para dar servicio al Ejército de Tierra Español demostrando el compromiso de la compañía tanto con la #defensa nacional como internacional.
