In this article by Ryan Cross in Endpoints News, Alexandra Snyder, MD and Marco Davila discuss our new collaboration with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. As Ryan states, we aim to “crack one of the toughest problems in cell therapy: getting CAR-T cells to target solid tumors.”   
 
In our collaboration, we will engineer and develop CAR-T drugs to treat solid tumors. These therapies are so-called "armored CARs" that include both a functionally optimized CAR protein and an additional factor targeting the harsh tumor microenvironment.

Today we announced a strategic collaboration with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Park to discover and develop chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies and armoring technologies for up to three oncology targets, including in ovarian cancer and other solid tumors. 
 
By combining the programmability and scalability of The Generate Platform with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s expertise in cell therapy design, clinical development, and manufacturing, we hope to bring best-in-class cell therapies to patients who are desperately in need of new treatment options.
