As a privately owned business with a 50-year heritage in manufacturing, Glen Dimplex Group is alive with entrepreneurial spirit, and innovation and driven by a steadfast belief in people and partnerships.

Almost five decades ago, Martin Naughton and four colleagues established Glen Electric in Newry, Northern Ireland. Just four years later with the acquisition of Dimplex, a company eight times Glen’s size and a brand leader in electric heating; Glen Dimplex was born. 

Since the Group’s foundation it has continued to grow organically and through 
 acquisitions of much-loved brands across the world.

Glen Dimplex Americas attends the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) in Anaheim, California and shares electric innovations in Heating and Fireplaces.

At the end of last month, Glen Dimplex Americas attended the PCBC in Anaheim, California. They showcased the Dimplex and Cadet brands. PCBC is a key trade event in North America that brings together builders, designers, and other construction professionals from the West Coast of the USA. The show provided us the opportunity to connect with many industry leaders and share some of our top electric fireplaces and heaters!

As we approach the end of June and the halfway point of this year's GLOW Global Community Programme, we thought we'd share some highlights of the amazing volunteering contributions our colleagues have been making!

Glen Dimplex China have been helping out again at the GDC Stray Pet Home. Our team of 22 passionate volunteers supported rescue center staff to conduct initial health checks, cleaning and engaging in play with the animals, providing much-needed care and attention to the stray pets, as well as fundrsiaing for vital supplies to support the centre. 

Our colleagues at Adax in Lithuania have volunteered to give blood as part of our 2024 GLOW Programme. Lithuania’s National Blood Centre visited our offices in Panevezys, so that colleagues could donate blood with medical professionals on site at the events which was a great success!

Colleagues from Group Head Office and Glen Dimplex Ireland took part in the GLOW Quest - a challenge designed to support homeless people in the Dublin Area. Our teams, made up of over 40 people, raced across the local area, buying items from the GLOW Quest list and completing special GLOW challenges, creating care packs that will support 135 people in our local community.
