1 billion tons of food is wasted every year, and still, low-income people overpay 25-30% more for basic food and groceries.

Ideally, the right to food shouldn't even be a topic. 

This is precisely where Nilus comes along. Nilus is eradicating hunger by applying technology to deliver affordable and healthy food to low-income people. Nilus is creating a new value chain for the base of the pyramid, based on food rescue, disintermediation and inclusive design. 

What is particularly fascinating about Ady Beitler, co-founder of Nilus, is his resilience and courage to disrupt such a sector and to be a catalyst in developing new business models for food inclusivity.
