The Challenge: 
The Middle East is one of the most difficult regions in the world for seawater desalination. SAWACO - Water Desalination, the leading provider of municipal and industrial potable water in Saudi Arabia, was unable to increase existing production capacity due to constraints on seawater intake and brine discharge capacities. They needed additional freshwater production in less than 6 months.

We are thrilled to announce that Gradiant has joined Abu Dhabi’s thriving hub of innovators revolutionizing global climate change solutions, signing a cooperation agreement with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) at #COP28!

To spearhead this effort, key executives including COO Prakash Govindan, the Group CFO, the Group Legal Counsel, and leading R&D personnel will move to Abu Dhabi to launch Gradiant’s EMEA HQ. Gradiant will also work closely with Khalifa University, Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), and local academic institutions to enhance Abu Dhabi’s innovation ecosystem.
