Sustainability is a multifaceted issue – let's tackle it together! End of September, we proudly marked our 4th Eckes-Granini Sustainability Day. From mental health and occupational safety to reducing food waste and our charity work with Team Rynkeby: enriching impulses were experienced in many of our national organizations to raise awareness of our sustainability goals and initiatives. For us it is key to come together as a team to create meaningful change. 🧘♂️ In Austria, our colleagues focused on health and wellness by running sports and nutrition workshops, helping with harvesting and learning about fruit growing at a local fruit and juice farm, as well as raising money for sick children and organizing a blood drive. 🧃 In France, our team deepened their understanding of sustainable packaging, exploring how we can reduce waste and improve environmentally friendly practices. A clean-up initiative around the factory and forest near the Paris office underscored the importance of this issue. 🍊 In Denmark, the focus was on how to strengthen our position as the most sustainable beverage brand and the role of employees, for example by reducing food waste. Also, the team focused on our collaboration with Team Rynkeby . 🚴♂️ In Finland, our colleagues focused on Team Rynkeby, and in keeping with the theme, they discussed bicycles as an alternative means of transportation in the future. There was also a first aid training. 🍊 The German team followed the fascinating journey from farm to table, highlighting the importance of sustainability in all aspects of our value chain. ♻ In Spain, Sustainability Day was all about recycling and learning how we can improve our efforts to minimize waste and protect our planet by visiting a recycling factory and listening to a presentation by the NGO ECOEMBES . 🌍 In Sweden, our team discussed the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and what we as Eckes-Granini can do to achieve them. Each country brought a unique focus, demonstrating the diversity of our sustainability efforts within the Eckes-Granini community. September is International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Our team at Eckes-Granini Finland is proudly wearing the Gold Ribbon to show solidarity with children and young people battling cancer. This month highlights the urgent need to improve childhood cancer outcomes ─ a cause that Eckes-Granini has been committed to for years and actively supports through Team Rynkeby . At the same time, the Gold Ribbon underscores the importance of community support and hope for all affected children and families. Because children are the future. 💛

This summer is all about sporting success! Our German athletes have won a fantastic 33 medals at the Paris Olympics, 12 of them gold. 🥇 Just before the start of the Olympic Games, another gold medal-worthy event took place in Paris: our Team Rynkeby cyclists collected an incredible 8,5 euros on their way to the French capital. 🚴♂️ One month on, we couldn't be prouder to be a sponsor of this fantastic initiative, which funds research into childhood cancer and other serious illnesses to improve survival rates and support children and their families through this difficult time. As well as the good cause, there is also a lot of fun, sporting ambition and fantastic teamwork. After several months of training and preparation, nearly 200 bike riders and around 50 supporters started their annual ride to Paris to raise money for a good cause. 🚴♂️💪 Since last weekend five German teams from different cities are on their way to Paris, giving their best to support the German Childhood Cancer Foundation. Team Rynkeby raises money for charities, research institutions and healthcare services that care for young patients with life-threatening illnesses and their families. It is one of the largest non-professional charity cycling events in the world that has raised more than 94 million euros since its start in 2002. We did it again and even better than last year! 🏃 🚲 Together we broke our record of 8,560 km and were able to cover an amazing distance of 10,431 km during our “Bewegungswoche” (Exercise Week). Another round of our Eckes-Granini Deutschland Exercise Week, inspired by the annual trip to Paris from the Charity- Team Rynkeby Foundation, was a complete success. 💪 During the week, we planned several activities for our employees in Nieder-Olm. Together we enjoyed table tennis, yoga, crossfit and many more exciting activities. 💸 Organized by our #YoungTalents Team, we collected one euro per kilometer. Employees from all locations in Germany were involved and were able to reach a total of 11,000 euros – what an amazing result! The donation amount will be sent to a fund of the German Childhood Cancer Foundation, which finances the treatment of children with cancer. #EckesGranini #TeamRynkeby #Sustainability

Paperless into the future – we are on the way! 🚀 20 million delivery notes are processed and printed out every year in Germany in the food trade alone. With multiple copies, that's 180 million sheets of paper, which is the equivalent of around 1,500 trees. 🌳 But there is another way! 🌟 Steffen Riedel , Head of Logistics at Eckes-Granini Germany, presented the advantages of a digital solution at the VLB Berlin 25. VLB-Logistikfachkongress „Trends in der Getränkelogistik”. 📳 And these are manifold: The introduction of the digital delivery note, which Eckes-Granini Germany has driven forward together with GS1 Germany GmbH , significantly simplifies the processes involved in handling incoming and outgoing goods. How does this work? The cloud solution "Cloud4Log" allows lorry drivers as well as office and warehouse staff to work with the same data in real time and speeds up the order-to-cash process. This solution not only avoids errors caused by transferring data from paper to IT systems, but also eliminates language barriers between employees, for example. 💧 Sweating for a good cause 💧 Last Saturday we at Eckes-Granini took part in the international spinning event "Spin of Hope". Spin of Hope is an international charity event organised by Team Rynkeby . Across Europe, people are pedalling to raise money for seriously ill children and their families, as well as for cancer research. Reasons enough to get on your bike. 🚲 From 1 pm to 2.30 pm, with the support of Bewegungsforum Nieder-Olm, Team Rynkeby Nieder-Olm pedalled for all it’s worth, accompanied by good music and experienced trainers. A total of 8 nations took part, including Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Switzerland. For more than two decades, Team Rynkeby has been dedicated to raising funds for charities, research institutions and healthcare services that support young patients with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
