#HanwhaOcean received a total of three basic #certifications (#AIP, Approval In Principle) from #BV(#bureauveritas), one of the world's four major #classification.

In particular, the carbon dioxide-ammonia heterogeneous cargo carrier is a new concept ship capable of transporting #carbondioxide and #ammonia, and is evaluated as having laid the foundation for ship technology that can dramatically increase the economic efficiency of operation.

#HanwhaOcean has developed the world's first ship "#blasting(#cleaning)" training program using virtual reality (#VR). This is another achievement following the #training program using #virtual reality.

※ "Blasting" : An essential preprocessing operation to ensure quality, including removing surface rust before applying paint to a steel plate.

'#RealBLAST’ developed by #Hanwha Ocean enables "blasting" training in a virtual space that reproduces the block shape without having to climb on an actual ship block. With the development of this program, Hanwha Ocean has become the world's first to implement an training program on the entire process of #ship #painting in virtual reality. 
Currently, ‘#RealSPRAY’, a painting training program, is being used at the Okpo #shipyard. 

Through this, Hanwha Ocean will create a #safer and more #ecofriendly #smart shipyard.

#HanwhaOcean is opening the era of #carbonfree ships by winning an order for an #ammonia carrier that can use ammonia as fuel.

#Hanwha Ocean received an order worth KRW 656.2 billion for four Very Large Ammonia Carriers (#VLAC) from Greece's Naftomar Shipping and Trading Co Ltd. This ship will be built at the Geoje shipyard and will be delivered to the shipowner by 2027.

This ship can transport 93,000㎥ and it is the world's largest ammonia carrier ordered so far.

Additionally, this ship will be equipped with eco-friendly technologies that Hanwha Ocean is proud of. The shaft generator motor system (#SGM), which can generate fuel by connecting a motor to the propulsion shaft, and #HS4 (Hanwha SmartShip Solution & Service), a #smartship platform developed in-house by Hanwha Ocean, will be installed. 

In particular, this ship can be converted to ammonia propulsion in the future if the shipowner wishes.

Hanwha Ocean has begun developing #unmanned #submarine using its submarine construction capabilities, which are recognized as having the best technology in the industry.

#HanwhaOcean announced that it was recently selected as the preferred bidder for the ‘Energy Source System for Unmanned Submarine’ project, a prototype project of the 'Agency for Defense Development(#ADD)'.

The project in which #Hanwha Ocean is participating this time is the development of a ‘multi-purpose modular unmanned submarine #hydrogen #fuel cell system’. Hanwha Ocean will develop the technology for the energy source of the multi-purpose modular unmanned submarine, produce prototypes for performance verification, and provide design verification support and testing support services necessary for this.

#HanwhaOcean is collaborating with global companies to accelerate the development of #eco-friendly ship technology.

#Hanwha Ocean recently announced that it signed a quadrilateral agreement (JIP: Joint Industry Project) with Greece's #Ecolog, America's #ABS Shipping, and Scotland's #Babcock LGE to develop a 40,000㎥ large liquefied carbon dioxide (#LCO2) carrier.

Through this agreement, each company will share its expertise and experience in carbon dioxide carriers. Through this, the plan is to create detailed designs and specifications for a large liquefied carbon dioxide carrier with safety and efficiency.

Hanwha Ocean showed off its overwhelming technology by obtaining various certifications for eco-friendly technologies from global ship classification at the "#Gastec 2023" held in Singapore.

#HanwhaOcean participated in "GASTECH 2023, the world's largest exhibition in gas-related fields, and achieved various achievements, including approval of eco-friendly technologies and technologies for carbon-free ships from #DNV, a Norwegian ship classification, and #ABS, a U.S. ship classification.

#Hanwha Ocean was certified as the first Korean shipbuilder to measure Underwater Radiated Noise(URN) while obtaining basic approval for cargo tanks applied to 70,000㎥ ultra-liquid carbon dioxide carriers (LCO2 carriers) from Norwegian ship classification DNV.

#Hanwhaocean has applied the #Hanwha logo to the world's largest Goliath crane. As a result, the integration of the corporate identity (CI) of Hanwha Ocean's Geoje plant, Seoul's Namdaemun office, and Siheung R&D campus, which took place over three months, has been completed.

Hanwha Ocean's #Geoje plant has four large Goliath cranes with a height of 100 meters and a width of more than 150 meters. These large cranes are symbols representing shipyards. This time, the Hanwha logo was engraved on the Goliath crane and became a key affiliate of Hanwha Group.

Hanwha Ocean enacts the 'Corporate Governance Charter' and sets out to build a sound governance structure. Through this, #hanwhaocean will be reborn as a respected company, secure trust from all stakeholders, and conduct sincere business activities.

Hanwha Ocean recently held a board meeting and enacted a corporate governance charter. This is the first time that Hanwha Ocean has enacted a corporate governance charter. Hanwha Ocean, which was incorporated into #hanwha Group on May 23, plans to faithfully practice the #Hanwha Group's #ESG management philosophy of 'establishing a sound and transparent governance structure' with the enactment of the 'Corporate Governance Charter' as an opportunity. All listed companies of the #Hanwha Group have a corporate governance charter.

The newly enacted 'Corporate Governance Charter' stipulates that the company fulfills its social responsibilities toward stakeholders by protecting shareholder rights, promoting employee welfare, and strengthening partnerships with partner companies. It also contains the contents of always thinking with the mind of the customer and making an effort to provide products that exceed expectations.

In addition, the function of specialized committees under the board of directors, such as the #ESGCommittee, was strengthened. The ESG Committee and others are delegated authority by the Board of Directors to make transparent and independent decision-making on related matters. This has the same effect as a resolution of the board of directors. Through this, Hanwha Ocean's ESG management is expected to be further strengthened.
