Over the last months, many aid organizations collected donations to support people in Ukraine.  
#HARIBO is committed to contributing to these valuable activities and has been supporting different organizations over the last months with a truck for transporting goods and covering the costs incurred during the transport, such as gasoline and tolls.
 
Currently we are supporting the initiative of Romania Sunshine. 
20 hospital beds come from Marien-Hospital in Bonn (GER), five high-quality dialysis beds from a clinic in Wesseling (GER). In addition, 25 beds are coming from the German Red Cross in Euskirchen. Together with other relief supplies, the beds will be sent to the Ukrainian hospitals as an urgent aid transport to Ukraine this week.

At HARIBO, happiness comes with responsibility.  
At our plant in Grafschaft, Germany, we are increasing our own sustainable electricity production thanks to our newly installed #photovoltaic systems. We have completed the PV installation on the roof of our logistics center and plans are underway to expand solar panels to our warehouse and surrounding green areas. 
When we have realized all areas, we will be able to achieve an energy self-sufficiency level of around 30 percent.
 
This initiative underscores our ambitions towards creating solutions that reduce our carbon footprint and help us to strengthen our energy supply reliability. 

But this is just a small part of our journey: We are planning to further build capacities in-house and widen sustainable energy solutions to other sites. As a recent initiative, HARIBO is building a state-of-the-art #solarpark at our site in Nemesvámos, Hungary, which is also expected to cover 30 percent of our electricity needs as early as next year. A spook-tacular fun for everyone! 

Halloween is not only the time of the year where we feel like a kid again but cherish how #childlikehappiness is expressed so variously around the world. Our colleagues at HARIBO UK are sharing the scare with an impressive spooky green illumination of our Castleford site – anyone daring to go inside? At HARIBO Italia, our colleagues are getting their spook on with frightening masks and Haribo France is reaching HARIBO fans of all ages with special Halloween-themed treats over tricks.

Did you know? For more than 80 years, #HARIBO has been holding its annual chestnuts-for-treats exchange – the “Kastanienaktion”. The cherished tradition is traced back to an initiative by our founder, Hans Riegel, wanting to share little moments of #happiness with his neighborhood. The idea is simple: Trade in chestnuts and acorns and receive colorful HARIBO treats in exchange. Over the past weekend, many HARIBO fans and families made their way to our site in Grafschaft, Germany. The chestnuts and acorns will be donated by HARIBO to nearby forests, feeding wild animals throughout the winter. #Thankyou to all HARIBO fans who joined us!

Childlike happiness is a universal language that connects us as people, young or old, all over the world. It is the enchanting feeling that comes with opening a bag of #HARIBO – for everyone. To precisely convey this feeling, the Insa Central Art Museum in Seoul is now hosting an exhibition to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the iconic HARIBO Goldbears.  
  
A distinctive highlight of the exhibition is that it translates the history of HARIBO into Korean – not only in terms of language but entirely tailored to the needs of the Korean audience, demonstrating how #childlike happiness can be variously expressed locally beyond geographies. 
 
We thank our Korean friends for making this exhibition possible, for sharing this joy together.

We all know about the current situation in Ukraine, which has unimaginably affected the lives of the Ukrainian people from one day to the next. Over the last weeks, many aid organizations collected donations to support affected people. #HARIBO is committed to contributing to these valuable activities. Using the catchphrase #haribohilft, we are supporting the initiative "Meckenheim hilft" with a truck for transporting relief supplies and covering the costs incurred during the transports, such as gasoline and tolls. 
Last Thursday, a small group of helpers and drivers started their journey to Ukraine. At the weekend, the donations were given to the people of the city of Boryslav, where many refugees from other regions of Ukraine are currently placed. By now, the group of helpers is back home in Germany. Further trips are being planned.
