As the use of GLP-1s increases for treating obesity, physicians are looking for guidance on which medications are right for their patients.

Health2047 portfolio company Phenomix Sciences is taking a genetics-based approach to homing in on obesity's genetic underpinnings through precision medicine, tackling weight loss in a more cost-effective way. More often than not, a CEO of a startup in the seed or pre-seed stage is lucky if they have enough money to pay employees the market rate. But they have to instill the opportunity as a love we have for everything we’re doing in healthcare and how we’re going to transform behavior — even before they have a line of code written. And that’s a hard thing to find.”
