Great Virtual Offsite with a Great Virtual Team Heartbeat Health 🚀

It is such a crazy time to be building a digital health company -- on the one hand, there is SO much excitement about the space, so many opportunities for technology to make improvements, and so many exceptional people jumping in heads first. 

And yet, the market is pretty dismal for funding, exits and outcomes. 

In my view, survival is key right now -- and may be one of the best ways to make it through this storm.

Asking for help can be hard, but it's a crucial part of business success. Four years ago, my boss Jeff at Heartbeat Health sat me down when I was overwhelmed by my workload and said, "Sometimes you need to ask for help." That really hit home for me.

Since becoming self-employed five months ago, I've been doing everything myself. But recently, I realized I don't have to do it all alone. People actually like to help.

When asked to write a wellness column for a local magazine SOMA Living, I initially said, "I have no marketing budget." But Michael understood my situation as a new business owner and offered to let me write a column. It was that easy.

Today, I'm celebrating my column being in the hands of almost 15,000 households! 

This Valentine's Day, I encourage you to reflect on how you can show yourself the love, respect, and support you deserve.

1. Your business isn’t your technology; it’s the value you deliver to customers.

3. The best technology is often invisible.

4. You don't have to build it all yourself (and probably shouldn't.)
