Breaking News @ HistoSonics, Inc.: UNOS Adds Histotripsy As An Additional Therapy Option for Liver Transplant Candidates with Primary Liver Tumors 

The United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) announced that beginning July 25, 2024, the OPTN (Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network) Waiting List will be updated by adding ‘histotripsy’ as an additional loco-regional therapy option for initial and extension exception requests for liver candidates with primary liver tumors. 

The Edison® System is intended for the non-invasive mechanical destruction of liver tumors, including the partial or complete destruction of unresectable liver tumors via histotripsy.
