Hi everyone - I'd like to share few updates from Humane as we prepare for the pivotal milestone of shipping Ai Pin this March.

As we begin this new chapter of Humane, going from stealth to customer facing, we are making some changes to best prepare us for continued growth.

We are no longer a 0 to 1 company. We have built a strong & innovative foundation of hardware & software & this means gearing up for an exciting new phase that demands new skills & perspectives, including a strong focus on Ai application development, & working with 3rd party developers to build for our multi-modal platform. Additionally, we are thrilled to announce Miguel Christophy's promotion to VP of Hardware. Miguel led the Design Engineering efforts on Ai Pin, and will now lead Hardware across Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Firmware. We are excited to continue to push boundaries in the creation of new product categories with Miguel at the helm. We are also excited to welcome Greg Nayman to Humane. Greg joins us after spending over 14 years at Apple leading engineering efforts on both iPhone & Accessories hardware.

Jeremy Werner, our VP of Platform & Experience Software, will now oversee all software experiences across platform & device. Jeremy led the efforts behind the development of Cosmos, Humane’s MVNO & more. His experience building & operating complex distributed systems including his work on iCloud & the App Store at Apple, will play a critical role in this next phase.

josé benitez cong has been promoted to Chief People Officer. José has played an instrumental role in building our exceptional team. He is a true unicorn when it comes to understanding people & how to grow & scale individuals & a company & is now stepping into the C-suite to bring together all pieces surrounding our people.

Patrick Gates, our dear friend & CTO will also be transitioning to an advisor in order to spend more time with his family. Patrick has been with us, side-by-side, since day one & we are deeply grateful for his visionary work & leadership in being a part of getting us from 0 to 1. We look forward to continuing to work with Patrick as an advisor in this exciting new era. 

These form part of a wider refresh of our organizational structure as our company evolves with purpose for this next phase of growth. These evolutions of growth can sadly also mean making difficult decisions for some, in this case we want to extend our sincere gratitude to 10 members of the team who we’ve parted ways with at Humane.

We deeply appreciate the contribution of all of our team members - past & present - and offer our sincere gratitude to where we are now.  We are looking forward to shipping Ai Pin & building a future where technology enhances the human experience.
