It’s Forklift Friday! Today we are proud to feature Chris Staton, Consultative Insights Manager.  Chris works remotely but is based in North Carolina. 
 
- How long have you been with HYMH? 

September will make 7 years 
 
 
- What do you do in your position? 
  
I have recently had the pleasure of joining this current team. In this role, I provide insights through Quarterly Business Reviews to our customers who take advantage of our fleet optics program. We also handle requests from our internal colleagues such as Major Accounts and Fleet Operations. 
  
- What do you like most about HYMH? 
  
I would say what I like the most about our company is the ability to work with multiple groups within our organization. Especially when it deals with our customer and dealer networks. It allows us to learn more about the people we work with and learn what they do in their respected roles. The most important thing this provides is that it shows that we move as a unit to provide the exceptional experience our customers deserve. 
  
- What advice would you want to give to others who work in a similar role? 
  
Be coachable in every role you are fortunate enough to accept. Be the sponge you need to be in order to soak up the gems your leaders give you. With repetition you will be able to make that same information you were given your own. Most importantly, never change who you are no matter the room you are in. People love the authentic version of you because that's what got you the invitation to the room. 
  
- What are you most proud of or what is one of your biggest accomplishments?  
  
I would say my most significant accomplishment is being consistent in my goal to learn all sides of the business, when obtaining a new role within the company. I have had the pleasure of starting my career at HYMH in Major Accounts then I joined the Emerging Technology side of the business. Now I am with the Aftersales team, while also gaining Fleet Operations knowledge. 
  
- Anything else you want people to know about you/your position at HYMH? 
  
I enjoy what I do each day and I value the people I have the pleasure of working with. To know the level of possibilities I have within this company, keeps me going to want more for myself within this organization. I have valued each team I have been a part of while at HYMH. Looking forward to connecting and creating more memories within the company!

It’s Forklift Friday! Today we are proud to feature Lucas Aires, Project Manager. Lucas works in our Itu, Brazil location and has been with Hyster-Yale for almost three years.

- What do you do in your position?

I am responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team in the implementation of new projects. My role involves coordinating various activities and resources to ensure that the project's objectives are successfully achieved. I ensure the quality of deliverables, verify that all requirements are met, and that the project is completed within the established timeline. Additionally, I monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks, and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.

- What do you like about Hyster-Yale?

HYMH promotes a culture that encourages everyone to feel confident in their abilities. This leads to the formation of strong teams that can tackle any challenge effectively.

- What is something you’re proud of?

Having worked in solutions for the Brazilian counterbalance market over the past few years, I’m proud to have contributed to a culture of knowledge sharing and to have consistently prioritized the customer experience in our discussions. This approach has enabled us to deliver exceptional results for each client.

Our Berea, Kentucky and Greenville, North Carolina plants are both celebrating 50 years throughout 2024! Thank you to all our incredible employees, from those just starting to our retirees—you are the reason we are here.
