Imperial Metals Corporation, a mining company, engages in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining, and production of base and precious metals in Canada. It holds 100% interests in the Mount Polley copper-gold mine that includes seven mining leases and 50 mineral claims covering an area of 23,369 hectares located in south-central British Columbia; and the Huckleberry copper mine, which comprises two mining leases and 49 mineral claims covering an area of 25,767 hectares situated in west-central British Columbia. The company also holds a 30% interest in the Red Chris copper-gold mine located in northwest British Columbia. In addition, it holds a 100% interest in the Ruddock Creek lead-zinc property in British Columbia, as well as a portfolio of 23 greenfield exploration properties in British Columbia. Imperial Metals Corporation was incorporated in 1959 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.

Imperial Metals is a British Columbia explorer, developer and mining operator.Our history dates back to December 1959 when Imperial Metals & Power Ltd. was incorporated in British Columbia. Over the past six decades, Imperial has undergone several transitions to become the Company we are today. In 1995 Imperial merged with Bethlehem Resources Corporation, in 2002 the Company completed a corporate reorganization and divested its oil and gas assets with a renewed focus on base metals, and in 2007 the Company acquired the Red Chris project.In March 2019 Imperial embarked on a major new transition with an agreement to sell a 70% interest in the Red Chris asset to Newcrest Mining Limited. On August 15, 2019, the Company and Newcrest announced completion of the transaction, and that they have formed a joint venture for the operation of the Red Chris mine. Newcrest is the operator of the mine, and Imperial retains a 30% joint venture interest.Imperial is well positioned to benefit from a strong copper market with 43-101 supported measured and indicated copper resources of about 5 billion pounds. We remain focused in British Columbia, where we have worked with local communities, First Nations partners, and our province for decades. We plan to be a key part of British Columbia’s post pandemic economic recovery and we look forward to reopening Mount Polley and Huckleberry in the near future.

Imperial Celebrates Renewed Participation Agreement. Brian Kynoch, President of Imperial Metals Corporation, expressed his thanks to Williams Lake First Nation. Chief Willie Sellars and his team for their ongoing support of the Mount Polley project and added, “Imperial and Mount Polley are committed to a respectful working relationship with the Williams Lake First Nation.

Chief Willie Sellars stated, “We’ve had a positive working relationship with Mount Polley Mining Corporation for over a decade and this has allowed us to navigate some very challenging times. We’re grateful to conclude this revised agreement and look forward to working together cooperatively for the remaining life of the mine.”

Imperial Metals Corporation acknowledges the recent ruling of the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (the business name of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists BC) regarding disciplinary proceedings associated with the conduct of engineers associated with the Mount Polley tailings dam breach. Imperial Metals notes that the engineers in question did not work for Mount Polley Mining Corporation or Imperial Metals. At the time, the engineers were employed by an internationally recognized consulting and engineering company working under contract to the mine.
