Two days at #HealthNext24 last week at #cornelluniversity ’s Tech campus in Roosevelt Island highlighted the extent of investments in AI for healthcare and some of the specific areas of interest such as mental health.

Today is International Women's Day. We need to remind ourselves today and every day that we are far away from a society where women are treated equally and given the same opportunities not only in the workspace but in all spheres of life. Women are significantly underrepresented in STEM and IT. That is why Infolytx actively strives to do what it can for gender parity – from recruitment to how we operate as an organization and inculcating a culture that values all lives. Internally, we recognize and celebrate the luminaries in our field in many ways. For example, our major meeting and recreation spaces are named after the giants in our area who happen to be women. Our primary conference room is named after Ada Lovelace - an English mathematician and writer from the 19th, chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage's proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine - the first programmer. Our main recreation room is named after Admiral Grace Hopper - an American computer scientist and United States Navy rear admiral. One of the first programmers of the Harvard Mark I computer, she was a computer programming pioneer who invented one of the first linkers.

We have many Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that embody this philosophy, bringing together enthusiastic staff passionate about learning and knowledge sharing.
