InsurTech Hub Munich is a platform that facilitates collaboration, knowledge sharing, and community building in the insurance industry. It aims to revolutionize the insurance sector by connecting international insurance and cross-industry partners, startups, investors, academia, and governmental entities.

InsurTech Hub Munich is one out of twelve digital hubs initiated by the German Federal Ministry of Economy, in cooperation with insurtech startups, corporate partners, investors and research institutions, all based in Munich. Our goal is to determine the future of the insurance sector by providing a platform for the everyday exchange between all important current and future players, building meaningful partnerships across industries and enabling alternative ideas and business models.

🚀🤖 Highlights from the Deep Dive Day on AI-Supported Complex Claims 📚
Last week, we hosted the #thirdedition of the SCALE AI Deep Dive Day Series. The event, held at the stunning ENSO Space for Creators and led by NTT DATA & Google, brought together around 50 claims and AI experts from our member companies for an engaging discussion and interactive workshop on two promising use cases:
1️⃣🚦 Claims management journey with a focus on accident claims 
2️⃣ 🩺 AI-assisted health claims management

This is another Highlight of this year’s SCALE AI programme - where our community collaborates to create tangible results on how to scale AI and implement it strategically. Thank you for the warm welcoming words, Claudia Jandl and an inspiring keynote, Cornelius Vogel. 

Our workshops, led by Jochen Stark, Fynn Gebers, Firas Larbi Andreas Volz, and Martin F. Poelzl, accomplished the following:

🔍 Analysing and mapping out the processes, activities, and pain points in these two areas, diving deep with experts from 17 insurance companies. 

💡 Exploring optimization potential, identifying significant opportunities, and assessing how technology can enhance efficiency, quality of service, and customer satisfaction. 

🤝 Sharing experiences and learnings from various companies, offering recommendations on implementing optimization potential effectively.

If InsurTech Hub Munich's #ScaleAI Programme is a navigator through the depths of AI, the Executive Forum is the North Star. 🌟 🚀

The SCALE AI Journey has reached an important milestone. 🏆 InsurTech Hub Munich and Deloitte presented the results from their expert interviews with the C-Suite of insurance companies at the impressive Atlas Building in preparation for a #whitepaper on "scaling AI in insurance".

Thank you for the active discussions: seriously challenging and evaluating controversial hypotheses. 💡🤖 Our conversations focussed on the real opportunity and transformative power of AI in the insurance industry. Most importantly, it examined which operating model is best suited for successfully scaling AI across the organization, moving beyond “
#Pilotitis,” as our Chairman Dr. Klaus Driever calls it—the misconception that doing one pilot after another equals scale.

- How can insurers upskill their organizations and attract the right talent?
- What organizational setup is best for orchestrating the technology?
- What investments are required in tech infrastructure and, most importantly, change management?

💬 Simon Mikulski, Tamás Kiss, Lukas Feuerstein, and Jacqueline Schmidt from Deloitte guided the executives through the study, inspiring them with thought-provoking questions. MD Miriam Natalie Hook and Programme Director Esther Eva Prax integrated these findings into the overall structure of the Scale AI Programme. 🌍

⚒ Industry practitioners delivered relevant practical insights. Stefan Hegedusch shared his experiences on die Bayerische's AI journey, detailing how they set up an AI roadmap and engaged a community of practice. 🦁Thomas Körzdörfer's keynote focussed on HUK-COBURG's approach; urgently recommending a shift to data-driven company management and decision-making processes, moving away from gut feelings. 🚗

This is a pillar for the most relevant platform in insurance technology. 🤝
