Isar Aerospace is a German aerospace company that was founded in 2018. They are focused on revolutionizing space access for small and medium satellites. Their flagship product is the Spectrum, a two-stage, liquid-fueled rocket designed to launch 1,000 kilograms to low Earth orbit. Isar Aerospace aims to manufacture 80% of the rocket themselves, using advanced technologies like additive manufacturing and carbon composite materials. They have raised over $330 million in private capital and have more than 200 employees from over 40 nations. The company's first test flight of the Spectrum is planned for 2023.

Today, Norway, the Andøya region and Isar Aerospace take a big step towards #space. In an official ceremony with H.R.H Crown Prince Haakon, the launch site operator Andøya Spaceport celebrated the opening of the first operational #spaceport in continental Europe, which will become the first launch site of Isar Aerospace.

The opening of the spaceport marks a crucial milestone on Isar Aerospace’s path to first test flight and will bring access to space to #Norway, and back to #Europe.
