In a world where supply chains have been turned upside down in the last few years, the importance of last-mile logistics cannot be over stated. 

In the last few years, I Squared has built trailer-leasing industry leaders in Europe (TIP Group ) and North America ( the newly branded “TEN” - Transportation Equipment Networking f.k.a. Star Leasing).

India’s transition to a lower carbon economy is a fascinating challenge - how do you get millions to stop using wood fires to cook on?

India is home to more than 240 million households out of which about 100 million households are still deprived of liquefied gas as cooking fuel and have to rely on firewood, coal, dung – cakes etc., as primary source of cooking. 

Today, I Squared announced a consortium of Japanese investments (Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. Sumitomo Corporation and Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development (JOIN)) will become strategic minority shareholders in Natural Gas Transition Platform, an I Squared portfocolio company that owns stakes in India-based THINK Gas  and AG&P Pratham.

As Harsh Agrawal , Senior Partner, I Squared, says: “India aims to boost the share of natural gas from nearly 7% currently to 15% of the primary energy mix by 2030…[I Squared] is committed to supporting a just and equitbale transition of the country’s energy sector.”
