Calendering process can shape mesh panels like boat sails: the ItalMesh team has contributed to the restyling of the facade of Le Vele shopping center in Desenzano del Garda (near Brescia, in Northern Italy), with the cladding of more than 1350 sqm of Brescia 75 aluminum stretched panels, calendered and powder coated in RAL 9003 glossy color. The project design recalls the Lake Garda’s tradition which the shopping center is named after, and aims at redeveloping a more modern and sustainable structure with 100% recyclable and certified materials. Design and art coming together for ItalMesh tribute to Piet Mondrian, the great master of geometric abstraction, as the geometry and regularity of expanded mesh fit perfectly with the artist’s style. A wall cladding was carried out in the courtyard of Palazzo Martinengo, a historic building in Brescia hosting art exhibition "Picasso, De Chirico, Morandi: 100 masterpieces of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries from private collections in Brescia". The project was designed, produced and installed by the ItalMesh team in just one week, combining different models of Zero Gravity Eden vertical garden meshes and panels. Anodizing aluminum with natural color can add a touch of elegance also to sports venues: on the occasion of the 2022 Canada Summer Games, the biggest university sporting event in the country, the ItalMesh team carried out the interior cladding of two floors at the hockey arenas of Brock University in Niagara, Ontario, using over 1500 sqm of Brescia 200 stretched mesh with natural finish. An autonomous solution that fits into any context and that at MEET Museum in Milan sees its first exhibition supporting digital culture, a link that the company emphasises, investing in art and knowledge, which must be within everyone's reach. A technology that brings Nature back into human territory, rebalancing the lost link with our origins. “MEET the Nature” is the program launched by MEET and ItalMesh, with the support of Fondazione Cariplo, with expanded metal mesh turned into vertical garden to create a hyper-technological environment suitable for the growth of real plants, changing every year with a new work of art - just like nature does. "Other Intelligences", by Spanish artist and researcher Maria Castellanos Vicente, is the first work of art on display at MEET living in symbiosis with ItalMesh project Zero Gravity Eden. Connecting plants located in different countries around the world (Norway, Spain, Mexico, Belgium, United Kingdom, Denmark, and now Italy) using special sensors, each plant naturally emits electrical signals reacting to stimuli from the environment, perceived by the other plants that react with further signals, generating an electrical conversation between the plants, connected online to prove the existence of a connective intelligence in the natural world.
