Jindal Stainless recently received a letter of appreciation from Larsen and Turbo Precision Engineers and Systems for supporting the L&T team by successfully supplying special stainless steel plates and sheets for ISRO's PSLV project. 

The letter acknowledges the efforts extended by the team towards the delivery of 15CDV6 (special high-strength steel alloy) sheets and plates ahead of the agreed timelines.

Executive director and Group Chief Financial Officer, Jindal Stainless, Mr Anurag Mantri, was recently invited as an esteemed panelist at the ETCFO Turning Point 2024 on August 09, 2024. Mr Mantri participated in the "CFOs' Vision: Planning for India's Decade" panel discussion. 

Mr Mantri discussed how India is poised for a decade of positive growth, especially in the stainless steel industry and how the 'Make in India' brand will continue to grow stronger. However, he pointed out that bringing the unorganised sector into the mainstream is crucial in ensuring comprehensive, inclusive growth. Mr Mantri also added the steps Jindal Stainless is taking to support the MSME partners through initiatives like credit lines. 

During the session, he highlighted the importance of integrating advanced digital technologies and data analytics to provide further opportunities to MSMEs.

Participating in the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign led by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Jindal Stainless organised a plantation drive in our Jajpur unit. 

Employees planted saplings alongside officials from the State Pollution Control Board, Odisha (SPCB) and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Shri P K Behera (RO, SPCB), Shri M M Sahoo (DEE, SPCB), Shri M Behera (DEE, SPCB) and Md Abdur Rafique (Scientist-B, CPCB). 

The event, organised by the Environment team of Jindal Stainless, saw the members vowing to motivate others to plant more trees and safeguard our planet.

We are proud to announce that Jindal Stainless has commissioned its Nickel Pig Iron smelter facility in Halmahera Islands, Indonesia, eight months ahead of schedule. 

This achievement, part of our joint venture with New Yaking Pte. Ltd., ensures the long-term availability of nickel for our stainless steel production—a critical resource in the production of this metal. The company had announced a collaborative agreement with New Yaking Pte. Ltd. in March 2023. 

Commenting on the development, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal, said, "This JV was the first bold step by any Indian stainless steel manufacturer to secure raw material reserves outside the country since India has no known sources of nickel. This move will enable us to fulfil some of our raw material requirement in a volatile market largely dictated by fluctuating nickel prices."

Mr Pachouri engaged in a thought-provoking discussion centred around the theme 'Talent Development for Global Competitiveness: Strategies to Position India as a Skill Capital'. The dialogue focused on strategising talent development for global competitiveness and highlighted actionable approaches to elevate India as the premier skill capital. 

During the discussion, he spoke about linking skill development initiatives by government, academia, and industry. He also stressed the need for better synergy between the bodies to ensure India strengthens its position as the skill capital. 

Furthermore, Mr Pachouri also shed light on the initiatives taken by Jindal Stainless, benefitting not only our employees but the entire ecosystem.

Thrilled to announce that Jindal Stainless has been accredited by BrahMos Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. as a qualified vendor for the manufacturing and supplying steel sheets and plates from our Hisar plant. 

The approval comes after stringent quality and credential audits to enlist Jindal Stainless as a supplier for BrahMos' cruise missiles. This development highlights the company's commitment to excellence and innovation in producing high-quality materials essential for national security.

Recently, we bid farewell to 19 of our employees as they retired after years of dedicated service. Hosted at our Hisar unit, the event was a tribute to the employees' commitment and excellence that have significantly contributed to our company's growth story.

The ceremony was attended by the families of the retirees and their colleagues, reflecting and celebrating these individuals. 

We extend our heartfelt thanks to them and wish them health and happiness in their next chapter!
