Recently we had the opportunity to attend the 2024 Global Partners Conference in Changzhou, China, with our partners at Li Auto where we celebrated the rollout of its one-millionth vehicle, making it the first new force automaker in China to reach this production landmark. This achievement underscores our pivotal role in this success as the provider of advanced safety systems for Li Auto models. Over the past four years, JSS’s partnership with Li Auto has been recognized with several awards and recently we were proud to receive Li Auto’s “Win-Win Cooperation Award,” a new honor for this year, recognizing our commitment to excellence. Since 2015, JSS has been a vital partner in delivering safety components that make Li Auto’s models, including the Li L6 and Li MEGA, recognized by the China Insurance Automotive Safety Index (C-IASI) as some of the safest on the road. This month, our facility in Miskolc, Hungary celebrated its 10th anniversary! Since starting production in October 2014, the team has made significant contributions to the company’s success through efficient production of critical safety components like airbag modules, motorized seatbelt tensioners and electronic components. The JSS Integrated Foam Sensor Occupant Classification System (IFS-OCS) uses a proprietary control unit to analyze the force distribution on the multiple zones within the seat. The information gathered is used to determine the occupant's classification, such as adult size, child seat or empty seat. Our latest iteration of this technology embodies a versatile solution and takes on a slimmer form, with a thickness of 1.1 mm. This slimmer design enables seat manufacturers and vehicle designers to engineer ultra-thin seat designs that both optimizes the seat substructure packaging requirements and harmonizes occupant safety and seat comfort. #JSS #JoysonSafetySystems

Implementing energy efficient and renewable energy initiatives is crucial for JSS to meet its carbon reduction goals in line with the Paris Agreement. Our facility in Torreon, Mexico is actively contributing to our global Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) targets through multiple energy efficiency projects. Some of these projects include installing three capacitor banks with harmonic filters, implementing well monitored energy saving strategies in production lines, adding thermal insulation in the warehouse and change of LED lighting in production areas, warehouse and offices. Additionally, these measures will be followed by the installation of lighting with solar panels in the perimeter area and parking lots. According to the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety, for a headrest to be effective, it must be positioned close to the back of the head and aligned vertically with the top of the head. Last month, the second JSS Asia Expert 100 training camp took place at our Asia headquarters in Shanghai. This career development initiative kicked off in May and is designed to cultivate 100 expert-level talents over the next 5-10 years. The program, divided into two key phases – Theoretical Learning and Problem Solving – challenged participants to tackle real operational issues through hands-on workshops. During the graduation ceremony, five teams presented innovative solutions, with the “New Foam Materials for Steering Wheels” team earning special recognition for their impressive contributions.
