News Channel 12 and Fox 11 News broadcast local news and CBS & Fox programming throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties.

Local newscasts air Mon-Fri from 5 a.m.-7 a.m.; Mon-Fri at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.; Weekends at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Preserving Local TV News: In 2016, News Channel 3-12 donated more than 2,500 archival tapes to UC Santa Barbara to be preserved. To date, Laura Treat and her team have led the effort to catalogue and digitize more than 1,700 hours of tapes from 1982-1995. These tapes include local and regional news stories, televised special events, and news magazine type content.
