This initiative at the Cane Run Generating Station in Louisville, KY, aims to capture over 95% of carbon emissions from up to 20 megawatts of the plant’s 691 MW capacity—about 67,000 metric tons of CO₂ annually. This project is a key step in proving the viability of utility-scale carbon capture for natural gas power plants. The captured CO₂ will be purified and reused by a local industrial customer, demonstrating sustainable, real-world applications.
