It’s World Chocolate Day!!! Our favorite day of the year is here! And in true Koko style, we have teamed up with Melbourne’s cult-favourite pastry shop, Tarts Anon founded by the inaugural winner of Channel 10’s Dessert Masters, Gareth Whitton, for a fitting celebration. For three days only you can secure a slice of heaven with our limited-edition 'Chocolate Leatherwood Honey Tart', a one off creation inspired by Koko Black’s iconic Tasmanian Leatherwood Honeycomb chocolate. Crafted by Tarts Anon Founder, Gareth Whitton in collaboration with our Head Chocolatier, Remco Brigou, the masterpiece tart features seven layers of chocolate and honey decadence. Beginning with a chocolate-infused twist on Tarts Anon's signature shortcrust pastry, it is then delicately layered with leatherwood honey caramel. Each bite reveals a combination of moist peperkoek sponge and rich dark chocolate custard, topped with silky honey and milk chocolate cremeux. As a final indulgence, a hidden chocolate surprise awaits beneath a mirror-like chocolate glaze adorned with gold cocoa nibs. This celebration will span the entire weekend, with the festivities kick starting from Friday 5th July and running until Sunday 7th July with the exclusive tart available for purchase at selected Koko Black stores across Melbourne and Sydney and at both of Tarts Anon’s Melbourne stores. As an extra treat for Sydneysiders, Koko Black and Tarts Anon will launch a highly anticipated pop-up in Sydney at Koko Black’s QVB store across the 3 days, giving Sydneysiders their first-ever taste of Tarts Anon.
