🚀 KOKO was featured in The Economist following a visit to our facilities, an operations tour and meetings with our customers [link in first comment below]. We're using carbon credits in a novel way to subsidise the cost of fuel and undercut charcoal. 🌍 Mitigating demand for charcoal is critical to climate progress -- millions of hectares of tropical forest are destroyed each year. And globally, cooking on open fires with polluting fuels emits roughly 1 billion tonnes of CO2e -- similar to global aviation. The KOKO team is in Dubai for #cop28 .
