It is with deep sadness that Kopin announces the passing of a former Board of Director, Dave Brook, a co-founder of Kopin. Dave Brook of Acton, MA, passed away on September 18, 2023. Dave was a co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of Kopin from our founding in 1984 through December of 2022. Dave’s contributions to Kopin were critical in establishing our portfolio of over 200 patents. Dave’s excellence and guidance to Kopin will live on through our continued success. 


In a recent article titled, “General Dynamics (GD) Wins Contract to Aid Abrams Battle Tank,” posted by Zacks Equity Research, it notes, “GD Land Systems unit recently secured a modification contract to provide technical support for Abrams battle tank system. GD is maximizing the effectiveness…of the Army’s tank fleet with next-generation Abrams upgrades, providing technological advancements in communications, power generation, fuel efficiency, optics and armor.”
