Nikolaj Thomas Zinner  co-founder of Kvantify is my latest guest on the Supoerposition Guy's Podcast. Kvantify focuses on leveraging quantum computing for real-world applications, notably in optimization and computational drug discovery, through a unique algorithm, fast VQE, that efficiently calculates small molecules. Despite challenges in scaling and skepticism around variational algorithms, Nikolaj is optimistic about the field's potential. The breakthrough shows that our methods have the potential to revolutionize scientific research by significantly reducing the time and resources required for complex experiments. For this historic calculation, we utilized the enzyme carbonic anhydrase, which plays a vital role in various biological processes such as regulating blood pH and facilitating CO2 transport. Additionally, its industrial applications include CO2 capture.

At Kvantify we just released our first drug discovery product, koffee, which is a unique and novel computational calculation tool for fast and accurate drug discovery. Simply put, koffee can rank for how long drug molecules interact with their targets, a key aspect in understanding their action at the molecular level.

However, this is only the 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆. Ahead lies a road where we will see artificial Intelligence, physics-based simulation, and quantum computation coming together in a bigger picture.
