Läderach is a Swiss chocolate factory that is internationally renowned for its high-quality fresh chocolate. In addition to the famous FrischSchoggi, its product range includes fine pralines and truffles, Italian tartufi and a host of other creations. Alle zwei Jahre trifft sich der erweiterte Führungskreis von Läderach aus der ganzen Welt in der Schweiz. Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus Produktion, Verkauf, Logistik und Administration erhalten strategische Unternehmensinformationen und arbeiten an gemeinsamen Themen. Im Fokus dieses Jahr: #Qualität. In interdisziplinären Workshops erarbeiteten die Führungskräfte ein gemeinsames Verständnis und Ideen zur weiteren Qualitätsverbesserung. Wie können wir food waste weiter reduzieren, wie unsere Durchlaufzeiten verbessern? Was ist akzeptierte Qualität und was nicht? Sie entwickelten Key performance indicators zur Messung von Qualität sowie Vorschläge zur weiteren Verbesserung. Dabei wurde der Qualitätsbegriff sehr breit gefasst und nicht ausschliesslich auf das Endprodukt bezogen. Denn zur #CustomerJourney» gehört so viel mehr als ein hervorragendes Produkt. Im Auge immer das Ziel, unsere hohe Qualität weiter zu steigern und den Erwartungen unserer anspruchsvollen Kundinnen und Kunden zu entsprechen, sie wo möglich zu übertreffen.

Every two years, Läderach's extended management group from all over the world meets in Switzerland. Colleagues from production, sales, logistics and administration receive strategic company information and work on common topics. This year's focus: #Quality. In interdisciplinary workshops, the managers developed a common understanding and ideas for further quality improvement. How can we further reduce food waste, how can we improve our throughput times? What is accepted quality and what is not? They developed key performance indicators to measure quality as well as suggestions for further improvement. The concept of quality was defined very broadly and not exclusively in relation to the end product. Because there is so much more to the #CustomerJourney than an outstanding product. We always have our eye on the goal of further improving our high quality and meeting the expectations of our discerning customers, exceeding them wherever possible.
Finally, a look outside the box: Bernhard Heusler, former President of FC Basel, provided insights into the specifics of leadership in a football context and what can be derived from this for one's own leadership activities.

Läderach Sommerfest 2024
 
Strahlender Sonnenschein und heisse Temperaturen sind normalerweise keine perfekten Bedingungen für ein Schokoladenunternehmen – aber umso mehr für ein Sommerfest 😊
An zwei Tagen sind die rund 1200 Mitarbeitenden aus der ganzen Schweiz diese Woche im Beachhouse Lido in Luzern zusammengekommen und haben gefeiert. So haben wir den Betrieb von den Chocolaterien bis zur Produktion aufrechthalten, während je die Hälfte der Mitarbeitenden sich am Sommerfest entspannen und geniessen konnten. Die Mitarbeitenden konnten ihr Wissen rund um Läderach testen (gar nicht so einfach, so schnell wie wir wachsen), erhielten mittels VR-Brillen einen Sneak Peak in unser überarbeitetes Ladenkonzept, konnten sich typisch schweizerisch beim Kuhmelken messen und Tickets fürs ESAF 2025 im Glarnerland gewinnen, welches Läderach als Königspartner unterstützt oder konnten wertvolle Ideen dem Marketing-Team pitchen und Preise gewinnen – da waren viele innovative Ideen dabei! Mit kühlen Drinks und feinem Essen aus all unseren Märkten die herrliche Kulisse am See und den Bergen geniessen oder eine Runde «Töggele» und Tischtennis waren ebenso heiss begehrt. 
Mit einem Rucksack voller Erinnerungen sind wir gestärkt zurück in der Produktion, der Logistik, den Chocolaterien und den Büros.

Läderach summer party 2024

Sunshine and hot temperatures are normally not perfect conditions for a chocolate company - but all the more so for a summer party 😊
Over two days this week, around 1,200 employees from all over Switzerland came together at the Beachhouse Lido in Lucerne to celebrate. We kept operations running from the chocolateries to production, while half of the employees were able to relax and enjoy themselves at the summer party. The employees were able to test their Läderach knowledge (not so easy, as fast as we are growing), get a sneak peek into our revised store concept using VR glasses, compete in a typical Swiss cow milking competition and win tickets to the ESAF 2025 in Glarnerland, which Läderach supports as a royal partner, or pitch valuable ideas to the marketing team and win prizes - there were lots of innovative ideas! Enjoying the wonderful backdrop of the lake and mountains with cool drinks and fine food from all our markets or a round of table football and table tennis were also highly appreciated.
We returned to production, logistics, the chocolateries and the offices with a rucksack full of memories.
Thanks to all employees, the organization team and the ExCo for these two great days!

Willkommen bei Läderach!

Gestern hiess für 12 Jugendliche: Erster «Arbeitstag».
Neugierig, was sie in ihrer Ausbildung und bei Läderach erwarten wird. Etwas nervös in einem komplett neuen Umfeld. Beeindruckt von der vielen Schokolade. Motiviert, ihre Lehre nun endlich beginnen zu dürfen.
Begrüsst wurden die 12 Neulinge am Welcome Day im House of Läderach in Bilten. Sie erhielten eine Führung durch unsere Produktion und viele Informationen rund um ihre Lehre, und durften sich auf spielerische Art gegenseitig kennenlernen. 
Liebe Lernende, wir wünschen euch einen ganz tollen Start in diesen neuen Lebensabschnitt. Schön, habt ihr euch für eine Lehre bei uns entschieden, wir sind stolz, euch in den nächsten Jahren begleiten zu dürfen.

Yesterday marked the "first day of work" for 12 young people.
Curious about what their training and their time at Läderach will bring. A bit nervous in an entirely new environment. Impressed by the amount of chocolate. Motivated to finally be able to start their apprenticeships.
The 12 newcomers were welcomed at the Welcome Day in the House of Läderach in Bilten. They received a tour of our production facilities and lots of information about their apprenticeships, and had the opportunity to get to know each other in a playful manner.
Dear apprentices, we wish you a wonderful start to this new phase of your life. Thank you for choosing Läderach as your first employer, we are proud to be able to accompany you over the next few years.

Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, liebe Schweiz! 

Als Schweizer Traditionsunternehmen feiern wir den Nationalfeiertag natürlich besonders gerne. So klein die Schweiz auch sein mag, ihre majestätischen Gipfel, klaren Seen und lebendigen Städte inspirieren uns jeden Tag, Handwerkskunst, Innovation und höchste Qualität in unsere Schokoladenkreationen zu bringen. Schweiz steckt in jedem Bissen unserer Schokolade, ganz gleich, wo auf der Welt sie genossen wird.

As a traditional Swiss company, we are of course particularly happy to celebrate the national holiday. As small as Switzerland may be, its majestic peaks, clear lakes and vibrant cities inspire us every day to bring craftsmanship, innovation and the highest quality to our chocolate creations. Switzerland is in every bite of our chocolate, no matter where in the world it is enjoyed.

Für uns ist natürlich jeder Tag, Schokoladentag 😉  
Am heutigen World Chocolate Day wollen wir nicht unsere Produkte hervorheben, sondern die Menschen dahinter. Angefangen bei unseren Kakaobauern, mit denen wir langjährige Beziehungen pflegen und die für uns die besten Kakaobohnen liefern. Unsere Mitarbeitenden in der Produktion, die diese in der Couverturen-Produktion in Bilten und anschliessend in der Endverarbeitung in Ennenda auch heute noch mit viel Handarbeit in unsere Köstlichkeiten verwandeln. Unsere Mitarbeitenden im Bereich Corporate Functions, die sich um Innovationen, Prozesse, Finanzen u.v.m. kümmern und dafür sorgen, dass die „Maschine“ läuft. Unsere Mitarbeitenden in unseren Chocolaterien, die täglich mit viel Leidenschaft unsere Kunden beraten und bedienen. Und natürlich unsere unzähligen Lieferanten, Partnern, Kundinnen und Kunden. Uns alle vereint die Freude an frischer Schokolade!

On today's World Chocolate Day, we don't want to highlight our products, but the people behind them. Starting with our cocoa farmers, with whom we have long-standing relationships and who supply us with the best cocoa beans. Our employees in production, who still practice many steps by hand and form them into our delicacies in the couverture production in Bilten and then in the final processing in Ennenda. Our employees in Corporate Functions, who take care of innovations, processes, finances and much more and ensure that the "machine" runs smoothly. Our employees in our chocolateries, who advise and serve our customers with great passion every day. And, of course, our countless suppliers, partners and customers. We are all united by the joy of fresh chocolate!

Wir gratulieren unseren 13 Lernenden zum Lehrabschluss!
 
Kaum zu glauben, dass bereits drei Jahre vergangen sind, seit ihr eure Reise bei uns begonnen habt. Ihr seid nicht nur in die Berufswelt eingestiegen und habt eine Menge an Fachwissen erlernt, sondern seid auch persönlich gewachsen. 
Ihr habt euch Herausforderungen gestellt, mit Neugier an Projekten gearbeitet und euch in Teams integriert und uns dabei immer wieder aufs Neue beeindruckt. 
Es ist inspirierend zu sehen, wie ihr zu selbstbewussten und kompetenten Jungen Erwachsenen herangewachsen seid und mit einem Rucksack voller Erfahrungen nun bereit seid für die Berufswelt. 
Es hat Spass gemacht mit euch, die letzten drei Jahre und auch diese Woche beim gemeinsamen Feiern im Glarnerhof mit euren Berufsbildnerinnen und Berufsbildern. 
Übrigens: unsere Confiseurin hat beim Abschluss die Bestnote von 5,5 erreicht - super!

It's hard to believe that three years have already passed since you started your journey with us. Not only have you entered the professional world and learned a lot , but you have also grown personally. 
You have taken on challenges, worked on projects with curiosity and integrated yourselves into teams, impressing us time and time again. 
It is inspiring to see how you have grown into confident and competent young adults and are now ready for the professional world with a rucksack full of experience. 
It's been fun working with you over the past three years and also this week celebrating together at the Glarnerhof with your educational trainers. 
By the way: our confectioner achieved the top grade of 5.5 at graduation - congrats!

I am delighted that the exceptional performance of our 2,000 employees worldwide has once again been independently recognized.

Dritter Produktionsstandort nimmt Form an 

Bereits über 200 Tage sind seit dem Spatenstich Ende November an der Linth-Escher-Strasse in Bilten vergangen. Schritt für Schritt nimmt das Neubauprojekt Form an.  
Nach den Aushubarbeiten und ersten Bohrpfahltests wurden ab Januar rund 400 Bohrpfähle in der 13’000qm-grossen Fläche gebohrt. Anschliessend konnte mit den Fundamentarbeiten begonnen werden - und das mit grosser Menge aus Betonrecyclingmaterial aus den Abbrucharbeiten. Denn Nachhaltigkeit ist uns wichtig. Der nasse Frühling mit überdurchschnittlichem Grundwasserstand forderte zusätzliche Massnahmen: Teilweise mussten bis zu 12'000 Liter Wasser pro Minute abgepumpt werden, um die Baugrube trocken zu halten. Dem Schlechtwetter-Blues wurde mit Schoggi-Lieferungen entgegengewirkt ;) und so arbeiten die rund 30 Mitarbeitenden auf der Baustelle mit Hochdruck am Neubau.  
 

Third production facility takes shape  

Over 200 days have already passed since the ground-breaking ceremony at the end of November on Linth-Escher-Strasse in Bilten. Step by step, the new construction project is taking shape.   
Following the excavation work and initial tests for the piles, around 400 piles were drilled in the 13,000 square meter area since January. The foundation work could then begin - using large quantities of recycled concrete material from the demolition work. Because sustainability is important to us. The wet spring with above-average groundwater levels called for additional measures: At times, up to 12,000 liters of water per minute had to be pumped out to keep the excavation pit dry. The bad weather blues were counteracted with deliveries of chocolate ;) and so the 30 or so employees on the construction site are working flat out on the new building.
